“I would maintain that thanks are the highest forms of thought; and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” —G.K. Chesterton
We are grateful beyond measure for our amazing ONR team! We appreciate that you are working tirelessly to meet the needs of our residents and support your colleagues. We know your fatigue levels are high and yet you continue to give all to meet the needs of our seniors!
With COVID-19 infection rates rising across the country, many of our communities are putting strict holiday guidelines in place. This will certainly affect our residents on many levels, as well as our employees.
In order to protect our seniors and our ONR team, it is critical that your community holiday policy is well understood and followed by everyone. Please consider your community policy when making plans for your holidays, both this month and through to the New Year. Some things to take into consideration:
- Community rules for quarantine if a resident/staff member leaves town for the holiday.
- Community rules for quarantine if hosting out of town guests.
- Community rules regarding large social gatherings.
We are sympathetic to the losses associated with not conducting usual holiday tradition’s but our primary goal is to protect our residents and our teams. Please contact your DOR/EDO if you are unclear about your community holiday policy.
A couple of reminders to contact your DOR/EDO immediately if:
- You experience any COVID-19 symptoms
- You have been exposed to COVID-19
- You have tested positive
Please do not go into your community or talk to anyone else before reaching out to you DOR/EDO.
